Niche Area of Excellence

Bio-control laboratory was initially established with the help of the grant received from the government of India through UPCAR. In 1999, this laboratory was made functional with the grant received from UPDASP-IPM. It was only then that the real start of the bio-intensive IPM program took place. Now, it is established as a leading laboratory of UP to propagate and promote IPM technology including mass production and supply of Bio-agents to state functionaries and farmers.

·         Bio-control Lab: IPM Modeled labor developed for different crops like: Rice, Pigeon pea, chickpea, tomato, cabbage, mustered etc.

·         Seed Production: Quality seed of different category (breeder, foundation, certified) of different field crops and horticultural crops was produced.

·         Establishment of Molecular Biology Lab.

·         Establishment of Mushroom production centre, nematode etc.
