Mission:
The mission of the Vishwavidyalaya is to customize an integrated approach for all round development of livestock, poultry and fisheries through imparting quality education, intense research and development for innovative technology generation and extension of technologies to the end users for sustainable productivity to augment and garner a dynamic livestock economy for the state.

Strength:

  • I. The only institute of its kind in the state providing quality education, conducting research on contemporary issues of the state and transferring the knowledge and technologies among farmers in the field of Veterinary Sciences, Dairy technology and Fisheries.
  • II. 14 academic institutions (04 colleges, 07 polytechnics), 03 research centers (wildlife, Animal Bio technology and Panchagavya) and 01 krishivigyan Kendra for human resource development, research and extension in the field of Veterinary Sciences, Dairy Technology and Fisheries
  • III. Presence in all the agro climatic zones of the state helpful in spreading the activities and conducting different subplans schemes oriented to schedule tribe and schedule cast communities.
