Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Ayodhya was established on 10 October, 1975.
It has four constituent colleges or faculties for teaching and research purposes, viz. College of Agriculture, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, College of Home Science and College of Engineering and Technology.
The university has seven research stations in different agro-climatic zones, viz. Kumarganj, Masodha and Ghazipur in Eastern Plan is Zone; Basuli, Naharaich and Ghaghraghat in North-Eastern Plains Zone; and Tissuhi in Vidhyan Zone.
It has five Krishi Vigyan Kendras at Bahraich, Basti, Mau, Ballia and Varanasi.
Its Extension Directorate conducts Farmers-Scientists Interaction Programme, Institution Village Linking Programme, Agricultural Technology Information Centre, Village Adoption Programme and U.P/ Diversified Agriculture Support Project.
