Dr. Yaswant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry Nauni, established on 1^st December 1985.

The university provides teaching facilities in horticulture, forestry and allied sciences under mountain perspective of Himachal Pradesh. Similar to other State agriculture universities based upon Land Grant System, it also follows course credit system of students’ education.

The college of Horticulture has 8 departments and the college of Forestry 6.
