Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner- Jaipur was established in 2013 by Govt. of Rajasthan under Agriculture University, Jobner Act, 2013 (Bill No 39) with a view to impart teaching at the University or college level, conduct research and extension education programmes in the field of Agriculture. The territorial jurisdiction and responsibility of this University extend to the districts of Jaipur, Sikar, Alwar, Dausa, Tonk, Ajmer, Bhartpur and Dholpur. The University covers three agro-climatic zones: Zone-II A: Transitional plain of inland drainage – Sikar, Zone-III A: Semi-arid eastern plain zone- Jaipur, Ajmer, Tonk, Dausa, Zone-III B: Flood prone eastern plains- Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur The University was named as Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner in the honored memory of the outstanding and well-known pioneer of Agriculture educationist in Rajasthan, Rawal Narendra Singh Ji and his father Shri Karan Singh Ji, who founded Sri Karan Narendra College of Agriculture at Jobner in 1947. The University was established with the primary objective of upliftment of economically backward classes particularly of rural areas and adopts the modern practices in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry and horticulture etc. The University Campus is located in Jobner town at a distance of 45 km by road from Jaipur. On train route it is about 10 km from Asalpur-Jobner railway station on Delhi-Ahmadabad main line (37 km from Jaipur & 18 Km from Phulera). The nearest air port connecting the University is Jaipur at a distance of 50 km. The university territorial jurisdiction is characterized by 75 percent of arid and semi-arid area. Colleges:
